Goldstar is offering discount prices for The Emperor’s New Clothes: Seattle Chamber Music Society’s 2012 Family Concert at Benaroya Hall. The discount tickets are for the Saturday, July 21st performance (general seating). They were offering free tickets, but it looks like those are about sold out. I would keep an eye on the sale though, in case more free tickets become available.
Regular priced tickets at $10. You can get them for $5, plus a $2.50 service fee, so $7.50 ea when you buy them through Goldstar.
Now in its 31st year, the Seattle Chamber Music Society summer festival includes pre-concert recitals and family concerts as well as new chamber music commissions over the course of four weeks each July. This year’s Family Concert presentation — ideal for children ages 5-10 and their families — is a musical adaptation of Peter Schickele’s The Emperor’s New Clothes, and will feature Seattle musicians on oboe, violin, viola, cello and piano. Narrator Marta Zekan of 98.1 KING FM will narrate the story to musical accompaniment.
If you have never signed up for Goldstar, its free and you have access to lots of great discounts for events and tickets throughout the Pacific Northwest. You will find a list of all available Seattle Ticket discounts here, or you can find them on our menu bar under Entertainment/Discount Tickets anytime you are looking to save on a local event!
