Teriyaki Chicken Drummettes
If you are pressed for time when entertaining folks, or just want an easy finger food to feed people so you can enjoy the get together too, these Teriyaki Chicken Drummettes are perfect!, They are SUPER easy and always a huge hit at my house! By the time they are done cooking, the meat just falls off the bone. The hardest part is getting them dished up in one piece (you will want to use a slatted spoon and not a fork, they are that tender)!
This is how simple these are:
Throw a few packs into your crock pot (I usually plan for around 4-6 drumettes per person). I made them for my family of 5 tonight and used 4 of the standard size packs you find in the grocery store. If you’re buying the family size packs, a couple would be perfect.
- Once you have your drumettes tossed into your slow cooker, salt and pepper generously.
- Next, top with Yoshidas Teriyaki sauce until chicken is covered (you can find my standard teriyaki recipe here, and see why it’s my favorite).
- Set your timer for high, or around 4 hours, depending on your crock pot settings, and walk away.
(note, you can take the skin off the chicken ahead of time if you want to. I like the extra flavor it adds cooking them with the skins on, and they fall right off, so I toss them in as is).
It is that simple. They will make your house smell great and a few hours later you should see them turn a dark caramel brown color.
