Soda Bar Using Diet Dr Pepper

Diet Dr Pepper is the kind of soda that tastes so good, it appeals to many tastes. That is why we thought it would bee the perfect beverage for our soda bar, at a recent event. We used it recently to impress guests at a small luncheon we hosted for a group of friends we had over the weekend.

I have a friend whose “Go To” soda is Diet Dr Pepper. It is one of my favorite soda flavors too, so when we had a luncheon planned at her house and I was put in charge of beverages I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I would put together a Diet Dr Pepper soda bar! Not only is it tasty, but it’s an affordable way to do something special for get togethers. We heard lots of ooohs and ahhs as people walked in and saw the soda bar. It was the first stop for just about everyone as they entered the room for the luncheon, as it drew your eye right in.
We started by heading into Walmart to get the Diet Dr Pepper for the soda bar. Walmart not only has low prices, they also offered different sized bottles of Diet Dr Pepper for the soda bar, which we loved. The 2 liters are more affordable, but the smaller bottles make a great display, so we purchased some of both. Folks could grab an individual size bottle, and if we went through all of those we had 2 liters and glasses that everyone could use to make sodas in, so we did not have to worry about running out.
Diet Dr Pepper makes a beautiful soda bar display for any party. We simply set them out on a shelf to display, provided ice and glasses for guests who preferred to drink it that way, added in some fun straws and our guests loved it!

We even had red licorice ropes on hand for people to use as straws if they wanted to (bite off top and bottom), and it makes a delicious straw. I love the flavor of red licorice with Diet Dr Pepper, and it was a hit with the crowd too.
