8 Pet Friendly Hotels Near Me in Washington
Do you have a beloved family pet & want to travel with your pup? We got a dog a few years ago & now we love to travel with her & take her with us on all of our adventures, especially exploring the beauty of Washington. There are so many fun trails, beaches & parks to explore with our dog, so we love to find fun hotels that our family will love that are also very pet friendly.
We put together a list of our favorite pet friendly hotels near me in Washington, with options around the state. Some of these pet friendly hotels near me even offer dog walking or dog sitting, special homemade treats, rinse stations after beach trips & much more!
Let us know your favorite pet friendly hotels too!
Hotels
Adrift Hotel – Long Beach, WA
One of the most pet friendly locations we have found is the Adrift Hotel in Long Beach, WA. They are located right on the beach in Long Beach (at the very southern tip of the WA coast) and it felt so dog friendly everywhere we went in the hotel. There were always dogs around the property, with plenty of water bowls set out for them, and we even found dog supplies in their gift shop in the lobby in case you forgot anything at home.
Your pup will love staying at this waterfront lodging with the beach just steps away. The beaches in Long Beach are so wide, too, which we loved and it made for great exploring with our pup. Some areas of Long Beach are car- accessible, but not the area around the Adrift Hotel, so we felt safer with our pup in an area that was not close to the cars on the beach.
And you will love all the wonderful amenities at the hotel including indoor pool, barrel sauna, firepits, and use of their beach bikes to explore the trails along the coastline (I just walked our pup while my hubby & girls enjoyed using the bikes). The use of the bicycles was a great moneysaver, too, since it’s such a popular activity at the beach & they can be pricey to rent.

Boardwalk Cottages – Long Beach, WA
The Boardwalk Cottages are just a few blocks away from the Adrift Hotel & the beach access, but also nice & close to the downtown, so it’s just a block or two away to walk to shops or restaurants. These cottages are nice to stay in as they give you a small kitchen & living area, while still being very pet-friendly, so it’s great to have that option for a bit more space for your pup. Plus, you can cook some of your meals in the cottages if you’d like to stay in for some meals. And they offer a special amenity of leaving fresh pastries on your porch in the morning from the local Cottage Bakery & these were delish!
The Boardwalk Cottages are part of the same hotel group as the Adrift Hotel, so you will have access to all of the Adrift Hotels amenities such as the barrel sauna, indoor pools & more. Plus, the Boardwalk Cottages also offers beach bicycles to explore the boardwalk by bicycle, so that was such a fun option to have.

Alderbrook Resort – Union, WA
Alderbrook Resort is seriously one of our fav PNW resorts for families as the location is unbeatable! It’s located on the calm waters of the Hood Canal with gorgeous views of the Olympic mountain range right across the water. It’s a place you feel you can truly relax and unwind but it also has some great outdoor opportunities to enjoy the beautiful surroundings around you.
When you arrive, you’ll most likely spot one of their adored house kitties, Alder & Brook, and there are some wonderful touches for your pet. They have pup snacks in the lobby, water & food bowls as well as a dog bed they can provide in your room. And there’s a pet welcome card. They also partner with MudBay in Olympia to provide locally sourced pet products (our favorite pet store).
If you want to splurge a bit on your pet, they offer custom dining options as well as a VIP pet option with boutique treats, tennis ball, waste bags, Alderbrook Dog toy & bandana in a pet bucket for an extra $65.
There are trails around the property that will be perfect to take your dog on some adventures. Just be careful walking along the beach as there are a ton of oyster shells (which is the case in many areas of the Hood Canal), which could be quite rough on your pups’ paws, so I would be very cautious.

Semiahmoo Resort – Blaine, WA
Semiahmoo Resort up in Blaine, on the border of the US & Canada, is another outdoor lovers’ paradise. It has the most gorgeous sunsets with the Canadian town of White Rock across the bay. And you’ll find lots of fun activities to enjoy outdoors with bike rides on the spit (complimentary rentals), playing outdoor games like life-size chess & volleyball, smores by the beach & indoor/outdoor pool.
Your pup will love this destination as it’s so pet-friendly with the beach right outside your hotel doors (you stay on the ground floor so it’s easy access in/out to take your pup), special outdoor seating for your pup to join you at the restaurant on site, and trails so you can take your pup on long walks by the beach. This was a rare hotel where we really felt that it was not just pet-friendly, but very welcoming to our pets as we saw pets frequently within the hotel & the staff was always very attentive & friendly to our pup, too, so we felt very comfortable bringing her around the hotel.
The Semiahmoo Resort really is somewhere that’s so beautiful any time of year. We were there even on a really stormy day in late October, but it’s so beautiful by the beach, so it was great for storm watching with cozy areas by fireplaces inside the lobby to read a good book. So, don’t wait for summertime weather – you & your pup will love it anytime!

Suncadia Resort – Roslyn, WA
Suncadia is nestled in the foothills of the central Cascades in the tiny town of Roslyn, just 30 minutes east of Snoqualmie Pass, which makes it a great destination for those coming from Puget Sound as it’s so close (less than 2 hours from many locations around Seattle & Tacoma). Suncadia consists of both hotel style rooms in their Lodge & Inn as well as vacation rentals, too. Obviously the vacation rentals will vary depending on whether they are pet friendly or not, but the Suncadia resort is a pet friendly resort.
This resort is such a beautiful place to take your pup, as they have such an expansive trail system to take your pets (just make sure they stay on leash as they do have a lot of wildlife in the area – deer, elk & more). They also offer an off-leash dog park, where your pet can run & get some energy out & meet some other pups.
The pet amenities are awesome at Suncadia, too, with house-made Suncadia dog treats, a food/water bowl for your pup, doggie waste bags, & a rope toy. Plus, they will supply you with a trail map, so you know the places you can take your pup out to explore their gorgeous grounds. They also offer private dog-walking as well as in-room /in-home dog sitting, too.
We visited before we had a dog, but definitely felt the grounds were the best place for bringing a dog – you can check out our review here from visiting in late May & another review from visiting during the winter.
Hotel Windrow – Ellensburg, WA
If you’re headed to central Washington as a base for outdoor adventures in the central Cascades, the Hotel Windrow is such a convenient location to stay as it’s the only hotel located right in the heart of downtown Ellensburg. This makes it so easy to walk to the shops & restaurants for your meals. And it’s just 30 minutes to Blewett Pass for some great outdoor recreation & less than an hour to Snoqualmie Pass, with both Cle Elum & Roslyn close by as well.
They do offer several pet-friendly rooms on the bottom floor so you can have easy in/out access with the exits. Since it is located downtown, there are not quite as many outdoor spaces to take your pup, but we had no problem finding some green spaces nearby the hotel to take her out. And she enjoyed walking around town with us.

Cabins / Tiny Houses
Leavenworth RV Resort – Leavenworth (Plain), WA
The Leavenworth RV resort, a Thousand Trails campground is located in Plain, WA, which is about 30 minutes outside of Leavenworth, near Lake Wenatchee State Park. It is such a beautiful area with access to the town of Leavenworth nearby, but far enough away that you won’t have any crowds and can enjoy all the outdoor activities near Lake Wenatchee (snowshoeing, crosscountry skiing, hiking, swimming, etc).
The Leavenworth RV resort is such a fun resort for families as they have so many activities such as 18 hole mini golf course, outdoor pool, tennis courts & much more. This RV resort is also home the amazing Leavenworth Tiny House Village & while most of the tiny houses are not pet-friendly, the Otto house is pet-friendly. We stayed in this tiny house & it was so cute & the location is so pretty in front of the lake with fire pits outside, too.
There are also a number of the cabins at the Leavenworth RV resort that are pet-friendly as well. We have stayed in the Thousand Trails cabins at other locations & they are nice options if you want to stay in a campground.
This location is quite pet friendly since it’s a large campground so many people have their pets & the outdoor recreation possibilities are so numerous around the campground. There are so many great trails to take your dog on around Lake Wenatchee, Stevens Pass & Leavenworth areas, as well as to visit Lake Wenatchee for water play which is just a few minutes away. Plus, the campground itself has an outdoor pool, mini golf course & lots of regular activities going on so that your family will enjoy it!

Thousand Trails Campground – La Conner, WA
We loved this Thousand Trails campground near La Conner as it was one of the most centrally located destinations with its relative proximity (20-30 minutes or less) to the Skagit Valley Tulip Fields, La Conner (for shopping, restaurants & more), Deception Pass State Park, Anacortes & San Juan ferries & so much more.
There are cabins at the Thousand Trails campground that are pet friendly & our pup absolutely loved it as we stayed at a cabin just a few feet from the beach. This was perfect to take her out to the beach in the morning as she loves the water time & walks on the beach. The campground is located on Fidalgo Island & the beach faces Whidbey Island, so we loved watching the boats coming thru & the sunsets from the beach.
It’s definitely one of our favorite places to stay just due to how close it was to so many favorite outdoor locations such as Deception Pass & the Skagit Valley, perfect areas for exploring with our pup with hikes, walks thru the town of La Conner & more.
