Halloween Oreos – Mickey Pops
Ingredients:
- 6 regular sized Oreo cookies
- 3 mini Oreo cookies
- 6 oz black chocolate candy melts
- 6 oz orange chocolate candy melts
- 1 oz white chocolate candy melts.
- 2 Tbsp candy eyes
- 2 Tbsp Halloween sprinkles
- 4 pumpkin candies
Supplies:
- Microwave safe bowls
- Mixing spoons
- Toothpick
- Lollipop sticks
- Parchment paper
- Baking sheet
Directions:
Carefully twist the Oreos to separate the two halves.
Press the two halves of the mini oreos into the filling of the larger oreo to create mickey ears.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt the white chocolate, stirring and heating in 15 second intervals until smooth.
Drop a teaspoon of white chocolate into the center of the open Oreo cookie, place a lollipop stick into the middle and replace the top of the cookie.
Allow the chocolate to harden (about 10 minutes) before moving onto the next step.
In separate microwave safe bowls, melt the black and orange chocolate until smooth.
Spoon the chocolate over the Oreo cookie pop until completely covered.
For spider webs: place a tablespoon of the opposite colored chocolate into a small freezer bag, cut off a corner of the bag and pipe circles onto the front of the cookie before the chocolate dries.
Use a toothpick to pull through the chocolate circles, creating a web. Add candy eyes.
For sprinkles: before the chocolate dries, hold the Oreo pop over a bowl of sprinkles and gently pour sprinkles overtop until completely coated.
You can also add pumpkin candies for another fun variation.
Place the Oreo pops on a parchment lined baking sheet and into the fridge to harden for at least 30 minutes before serving.
