Frankenstein Cookies for Halloween – Simple No Bake Halloween Treat!

We show you how to make these Frankenstein Whoopie Pie Pie-style cookies, with no baking required. They are simple, and the perfect recipe to make with kids as well. They make great treats for parties, or just to have for the season. These are not your traditional whoopie pies, which have a more cake-like outer shell. These are made out of Oreo cookies, which are hard. That is why we are calling them Frankenstein Cookies or Frankenstein Whoopie Pie Cookies. They will have that delicious marshmallow filling though, so if you love whoopie pies, but want a no-bake version of them, this is a fun recipe to try. If you have a favorite traditional whoopie pie, you could still use these ideas to decorate them for Halloween and transform them into a Frankenstein Whoopie Pie.

If you want to make a fun Halloween spread, check out these no-bake Frankenstein Cake Pops & Rice Krispy Treats as well! A little work will go a long way with both of these no-bake recipes.

No-Bake Frankenstein Whoopie Pie Cookies Recipe

With the no-bake recipe, there is very little effort required. Kids will love to make these especially.

Ingredients Needed:

(note – you can use the candy eyes instead of the mini marshmallows, however, they are crunchy and the marshmallows are soft. The texture of the marshmallows goes much better with the texture of the rest of the whoopie pie so it is a better taste version between those and the candy eyes).

Filling for The Whoopie Pies

  • Butter 1⁄2 cup (1 Stick) softened
  • Powdered sugar 2 cup
  • Marshmellow Fluff 2 cups
  • Vanilla 1 tsp
  • Green Food Coloring

Optional:

How To Make the Frankenstein Whoopie Pies

These are really simple to make. Start by:

Start by removing the vanilla cream centers from the Oreo cookies, and set aside the chocolate cookie parts to use.

Halloween Whoopie Pie Filling

Next, you will want to make your whoopie pie filling. To do that simply mix all the filling ingredients together.

Mix together the:

  • Butter 1⁄2 cup (1 Stick) softened
  • Powdered sugar 2 cup
  • Marshmellow Fluff 2 cups
  • Vanilla 1 tsp

Once it is blended add a couple of drops of Green Food Coloring and mix until blended.

The next step is to add a spoonful of the marshmallow filling on top of one of the chocolate cookies (the same side you scraped the creme filling out of) and then top with a second Oreo cookie.

Now you are ready to add a dot in the middle of the ends of your mini marshmallows and add a few of them into the cookies along the sides. We added around 5 or 6 to ours.

That is it for this no-bake version – it really is that simple.

You can grab one of these Black Slate Trays (such a good price) to put some out on, to keep things festive.
