I love fall foods, they are so comforting and full of flavor. I also love the opportunities that fall provides to meet with friends and spend time with family, as the weather starts to cool off. Sometimes though, I like to put food on the table to feed my family, without having to work too hard. That is where these snack board ideas and cider bar are a perfect fit. I can use them for simple (but fun and tasty) meals, snacks or treats for my family, but they are also perfect if a neighbor stops by, or I have some entertaining planned too.

I love to make “Charcuterie Boards” for all seasons and occasions. They are essentially pretty snack boards, and I love to snack my way through a meal, and so do my kids. You can theme them to any occasion or set of taste buds (or special diets) too. With school starting up and fall just about here, I was getting excited to put together some fall themed snack boards for my family and friends to enjoy. These are all simple ways to feed your loved ones without having to cook. That works especially well for me on busy weeks with the kids back in school, and the schedules that come along with that.

Did I mention that I love that I can put these spreads together without having to cook a big meal! It is a matter of grabbing the items needed, and presenting them in a beautiful way. Really the hardest part of making a charcuterie board is shopping for the items. And to make that part easy, I shopped online with Walmart. They make this part so easy, as I add what I want to my cart at Walmart online or in the Walmart app, and then I can either have it delivered to me, or I can schedule a pick up at my local store. Either way, it is not requiring me to set aside much time for shopping, which makes things so convenient.

Using the Walmart Online Grocery service, saves me time because their personal shoppers do the hard work for me. This means I can quickly do my shopping online, and then either have it delivered to me or stop by and pick it up all ready to go. It is that easy, and a game changer at my house.

TIP – to save even more time, when you are shopping online you can sort by brands. I search the product I want (ie apples) and then head to the left hand bar and select brand, and then one of the Walmart brands I listed below. How To Save Big Using Walmart Brands ::

Another thing I really like about making charcuterie boards. snack boards, is that you can adjust them to so many different budgets (you will find people making them for just about thing these days). That means that you could buy a few different types of popcorns and some fruits to make a really affordable snack board option, for example. On top of that, I have found one of the ways I can save most on feeding a crowd, or just my family with these snack boards and cider bars, is by shopping the Walmart brands. I have taste tested these products, and been very impressed with the quality of them, especially considering the price savings (I share some of my very favorite finds below).

If you want to make a more traditional charcuterie board, the ingredients for those can add up (nuts, salamis, specialty cheese and crackers etc.), so this tip works especially well. We have found some much more affordable options for our more traditional board that we served up below, by shopping Walmart brands. In some cases we saved half the cost, and I did not feel like we sacrificed any of the taste. Here are four different ideas I love to use for entertaining in the fall, or just making things special for my family too.

Hot Apple Cider Bar (also great for after school snacks, pair it with Kids Snack Board below)

I love to use this idea for entertaining, as well as just to put out for my kids after school, to make a regular day feel special. By buying the Walmart brand items, we were able to get almost everything on our list for $2 or less (minus just a couple of things). That makes this apple cider bar a super option for fall entertaining too, if you want to put out a beautiful spread on a budget. Another tip you can use to really dress your apple cider bar up for very little added expense, is to slice one of your apples into circular pieces and then add a cinnamon stick through the middle of the apple to lay on top of the cups of cider. After School Snack Board Ideas

One tradition I started when my kids were younger, was to put out a snack board for them after school. I found that if I offered more of the foods I wanted them to pick for snacks in a fun way, they happily ate them. That and it just made things more fun for them when they got home, and I found it easier than everyone getting in the door at the same time, telling me they were hungry.

You can use a black sharpy to draw faces on fruit cups and string cheese to make it more festive, or just put them out on a board and they look great that way too, if you want to skip the drawing.

Entertaining Fall Board, or Dinner Snack Board for the Family

I try to eat low carb, and so I love to put together these fun charcuterie boards when I have friends over, as many of the items I add to them work for me as well as others who eat different types of diets.

It is basically an adult sized snack board, and so many of the foods on it will work for lots of different eating styles, so it is especially nice when trying to provides snacks for family and friends.
