When Kohls invited Jen and I to participate, I jumped at the chance. I had my eye on one of the Food Network Dutch Ovens for quite some time now, and this was the perfect opportunity to force myself to grab one. I got the red Dutch Oven for what I consider a great deal (I chose the 3.5 quart size as storage is an issue at my house). I purchased it when it was on sale for $49.99 plus I had a 15% off coupon!

It is so easy to make great homemade soups in, roasts and more. It’s also a great way to cook affordable cuts of meat and have them come out delicious and tender. I made a pot of Chicken Corn Chowder the other night for the football game at our house. I was able to use leftover mashed potatoes (in place of the cream) that I froze previously, a can of $.50 cream of corn, a $.50 onion, leftover bacon from breakfast and a couple of chicken breasts, chicken stock and shredded cheese. The soup is not only very budget friendly, but it was a real crowd pleaser after simmering in the dutch oven for a couple of hours on low!

Jen’s Food Network Finds:

I was excited to have a chance to check out Kohl’s Food Network line as I have not really taken a close look at this product line before and I found a huge selection and variety of items at my store. Not only was there a great variety in functional items, but they also had fun bold colors & unique designs, too. When I was there last week, almost all of the items were on sale, too (and are on sale again this week) which I am sure will be the case quite often this holiday season.  Even better, when you can combine the sale prices with the coupons that Kohl’s frequently offers, as well as Kohl’s cash to really stretch your savings further and find a quality product for less!

Here are a few of my favorite  finds:

Food Network Mugs

I loved these mugs with the fun Chevron styles & modern designs for a different twist on your typical Christmas mugs. They were  just $5.99 on sale + 15% off coupon, which made them a little over $5/ea. I picked up a few of these for Christmas gifts as they make great gift ideas for teacher gifts, hostess gifts, & more. Fill the mug up with Starbucks Via packs, hot chocolate or tea, coffee gift card & some chocolate & you have a nice, unique gift!

I loved the classic style of these wine glasses – great for holiday get-togethers!

Kohl’s Food Network Christmas line was definitely what I was drawn to the most as I loved the clean lines and simplicity of the white dishes but with the fun designs that would fit in with a variety of styles and Christmas items I already own. These items are all still 50% off this week, too!
