Easy Chicken Lettuce Wraps Recipe – Teriyaki Flavor!
Whenever I am looking for a lighter meal at a restaurant, chicken lettuce wraps are one of my favorite things to order as it still feels quite filling, even as a healthier option. It’s also a great meal to serve others if you have people in your family or friends over for dinner who need to eat low carb or gluten free. And Chicken Teriyaki Lettuce Wraps are an easy one to double up, so you can feed a crowd or save for leftovers.
If you are looking for a super simple & easy recipe for chicken lettuce wraps, this recipe is a no-frills recipe using teriyaki sauce to speed it up so it’s easy to throw together for busy school weeknights. I am all about no fuss meals and being able to put together a meal quickly! And especially a healthy meal like this one that is a nice, light option which you can make double to have those leftovers for lunch the next day!
Chicken Teriyaki Lettuce Wraps:
Ingredients:
- 3 Sweet Mini Bell Peppers (red, yellow, orange)
- 1 Jalapeno (optional)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 lb Ground Chicken
- Red pepper flakes
- 1 (14 oz) bottle of Teriyaki Sauce
- Romaine Lettuce
Directions:
First chop up the sweet mini bell peppers and the jalapeno.
In a saute pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add in the ground chicken and the peppers.
Cook until the chicken is no longer pink and drain any excess liquid from the pan.
Season with a little red pepper flakes and add in the bottle of Teriyaki Sauce.
Simmer for a few minutes and then spoon into romaine lettuce leaves to serve.
