Easy Caramel Popcorn Recipe
We love to have a popcorn for movie nights on the weekend & it’s more fun when we switch it up with different varieties. Caramel is such a yummy flavor for fall, especially, but really all year round, so caramel popcorn is always popular with the whole family! But, for a seasonal touch, it’s fun to add some pumpkin candies or even candy corn to the popcorn batch.
To speed up the process of making caramel popcorn for movies or for a party, we love this hack of using caramel candies in the recipe. The prep time is just minutes after you have your popcorn all ready to go. Just melt the caramels in the microwave and stir together with your popcorn. It’s as simple as that! We also added in some pumpkin candies for some fall fun (you could also add candy corn too). If you’re serving at a different time of year, add in a different seasonal candy.
How to Make Caramel Popcorn:
Ingredients:
6 cups of popped popcorn
2 cups of pumpkin candies
1 cup of caramel candies, melted
Directions:
- Melt caramel candies by microwaving in 20 second bursts and stirring until the caramel is melted.
- Once it is melted, pour over the popcorn.
- Mix the popcorn well with the melted caramel.
- Add pumpkin candies
- I suggest allowing the popcorn to harden for about 10-15 minutes. However, you can dig in right away if you can’t wait. :)
