Baked Sweet Potato Fries Recipe
We are big fries fans in our house, but we have been looking for healthier versions and this oven baked sweet potato fries recipe is an excellent recipe to make in your home – and it’s a fun one to make with kids to celebrate the different seasons or holidays by using different cookie cutter shapes for the fries. We used jack o’lantern cookie cutters for a harvest/halloween theme, but you could use fall leaves/Turkeys for a fall or Thanksgiving theme or anything else fun!
I love the slightly sweet & salty combination when you make these crispy sweet potato fries! Plus, the added bonus is that there are some great health benefits to using sweet potatoes too. They are pretty high in dietary fiber, which means they will keep you full longer & balance your gut. It also has a low glycemic index, meaning that it releases sugars into your bloodstream slower so you don’t get the blood sugar spikes as much, which is a benefit to those with diabetes (& for any of us really). Sweet potatoes are also high in several vitamins including Vitamin A, C, D, B6 & more.
So, try these oven baked sweet potato fries and let us know what you think! We think these will be a regular in your fall rotation soon!
