Asian Chicken Wings in Air Fryer
I love an easy & simple dinner idea and chicken wings are always a hit with the whole family. It seems like we never make enough as my kids just gobble them up since they are so tasty. They also make a great crowd pleaser if you are having a party or gathering for a hearty & filling appetizer.
When you use this sauce with your chicken wings, they will be so flavorful and moist! I love the combination of sweet & savory with this Asian sauce mixture. You’ll definitely be getting requests for seconds when you serve up these delicious Asian Chicken Wings. Using the air fryer is a great way to get that extra crisp on the outside, too, and keep it so tender on the inside.
Asian Chicken Wings:
Serves: 30 wings pieces
Prep: 10 Minutes
Cook: 10 Minutes or until wings are at desired crispiness
Ingredients:
- 4 lb bag wings (wingettes and drumettes)
- 1/2 cup light soy sauce
- 1/2 cup dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons garlic
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 stalks green onions; diced
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- Oil for frying
Directions:
Pour oil into air fryer. Bring oil to 350 degrees F. {We are using an outdoor air fryer in these pictures, but you can use any air fryer to cook the chicken}
Make sure wings are fully defrosted.
Carefully place wings into the basket and lower into the cooker. Cook until golden or desired crispiness. {Depending on your air fryer & the size, you might need to cook around 25 – 30 minutes at 350 degrees.}
Remove from pot and drain excess oil.
In a pot on the stove, mix together the light & dark soy sauces, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, pepper and cornstarch.
Heat the sauce on low until it comes to a boil and thickens. Stir frequently. Turn off heat.
Place wings in a bowl and add the sauce. Toss well.
Add in diced green onion and toss well. Serve.
